The San Angelo Nature Center is a collection
of animals, along with related exhibits and information, that are native
to the Southwest. Among the animals are bobcats, skunks, a porcupine,
hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, scorpions, turtles, lizards and snakes.
Everything except the big tortoise and some groundhogs was in a cage
or behind glass. On this date, it cost the two RV Gypsies $3 each to
get into the San Angelo Nature Center and the only thing Karen Duquette
liked was the attack turtle sign, the big tortoise and a flower. |

The two RV Gypsies, Lee and Karen Duquette,
drove by the Sunken Garden Park and took quick photos from the moving
car. Even though Karen wanted to stop, Lee Duquette thought that it
did not look that interesting as he was driving by, so he did not stop.
Later, Karen Duquette looked it up on the internet and learned that
it is a Neighborhood Park at 704 S. David St., and is 7.1 acres and
that the garden has a large collection of cannas, native plants, water
fountains, a trail segment to a footbridge that leads to Santa Fe Park.
So maybe they should have checked it out. They will if they every get
this way again, which is very doubtful. |

Below: The sculpture photos below were
also taken out the window of a moving car. These sculptures were right
next to Sunken Garden Park and might be part of the park. |
