The two RV Gypsies, Lee and
Karen Duquette, booked SegCity's ULTIMATE downtown San Antonio and Riverwalk
Experience, which covered everything from the Theater District to Main
Plaza, and Hemisfair Park, plus a secluded part of the Riverwalk into
the King William District - a GORGEOUS neighborhood dating back to the
1850s, and of course by the Alamo.
This was a 2.5 hour tour, and the guide, Alex, even gave
the two RV Gypsies some free-wheeling time to really have a blast. SegCity
also has other tours of various lengths. Alex gave Karen and Lee each
a small bottle of water for the trip, and she took a lot of pictures
of the two RV Gypsies as they rode along. Lee and Karen Duquette were
the only two people on the tour on this date, except for Alex the guide
of course. |

Alex was a great guide. She knew so much
about San Antonio's history, and Karen Duquette liked HER personality.
Only complaints: Too much stopping to cross streets, and Alex insisted
that they could not get on or off their Segway unless she was holding
it, even though it was the 7th time the two RV Gypsies rode a Segway
(and not their last). But they highly recommend the tour and Alex. The
small bottle of water was a bonus, and the biggest bonus of all was
that Alex took pictures all during the tour, without charging extra
for the photos. Yes, they would do this Segway tour again if they are
ever in the area. |

they rode the elevator to the top of

Below: In this area, Alex
let the two RV Gypsies ride around on their own and they zoomed as fast
as the Segways would let them. Alex took pictures while Lee and Karen
Duquette each had a blast free-wheeling. This is always the bonus that
makes a Segway ride great, but does not always happen. |
