1. The two RV Gypsies stayed in their RV (their only home) in Deerfield Beach, Florida for the winter months and spent time with family and friends. Check out their canoe trips, parties, family time, and see Karen win several contests. |
April 20 through April 22 - The two RV Gypsies spent time in Englewood, Florida visiting their friends PeeWee and Doc. Had some fun evenings at dinner and dancing. NO photos were taken. |
2. April 23-25 - The two RV Gypsies drove to St. Petersburg, Florida and took a wonderful Segway tour with St Pet Segway Tours, and a very knowledgeable guide, Tom. The two RV Gypsies also rode on the Dolphin Racer Speedboat and watched dolphins surfing on the wake of the boat. All photos are posted. April 26 - 29 - The two RV Gypsies drove to DeLand, Florida and visited their friends DeeDee and Forest. NO photos were taken here. |
3. May 1, 2015 - The two RV Gypsies drove to Alabama and explored Dauphin Island and Fort Gaines. |
4. May 2, 2015 - Biloxi, Mississippi and a shrimping trip and more: War memorials, Hurricanes Katrina and Camille memorials, Sharksheads, otter catching a catfish, a lighthouse, a 2,000 year old tree and a lot more. |
5. May 3, 2015 - A quick stop at the Louisiana Welcome Center and a one night stay at Poche's Campground in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana |
6. May 4, 2015 - A quick stop at the Texas Welcome Center and a one night stay at Westlake RV Resort in Houston, Texas |
7. May 5-6-7, 2015 -More Texas stuff: The two RV Gypsies parked their RV at Medina Lake RV Resort in Lakehills, Texas and saw lots of deer in the campground. Then they drove their toad to SAN ANTONIO: enjoyed another Segway tour, plus the ALAMO, monuments, Ripleys, a wax museum and more. |
8. May 8-9, 2015 - San Angelo, Texas; an amazing Welcome Center and Riverwalk, Old Town, nature center, sunken garden park and more. |
9. May 10, 2015 - Monahans Sandhills State Park in TX - laugh at the two RV Gypsies physically rolling down 70-foot sand hills |

Note: For most of the time that the two RV Gypsies were in San Diego, their RV (their ONLY home) was in repair at the San Diego Freightliner, making them "homeless" in San Diego. During this time, they stayed one night at the Hilton Hamptons, and two nights at Embassy Suites. Reviews of these hotels are posted. Several nights were spent sleeping in the RV on the street in front of Freightliner (Lee's stupid idea). The two RV Gypsies liked the Embassy Suites much better than the Hilton Hamptons. |
15. May 29-June 9, 2015 - The two RV Gypsies parked their RV at Los Angeles KOA in Pomona, California and spent time with Karen's sister Ilse and her family, and did some interesting things. During this time their jeep died and they had to buy a new (used) car and get it set up for towing. |
16. June 10-11, 2015 - The two RV Gypsies drove a long distance to San Francisco on the 10th. Then on the 11th, they explored the city of San Francisco again and drove down the famous "zig-zag" road several times, and of course tried to see the Golden Gate Bridge through the fog. |

The two RV Gypsies had planned to go into South Carolina but a hurricane poured lots of rain and major flooding to SC. So they went into Tennessee instead. All-in-all, they had a full week of heavy rain, but no flooding. While driving the RV from KY to TN, the two RV Gypsies saw four major accidents, probably due to the rain, and were delayed for about an hour, but they were just thankful that they were not involved in an accident. October 1-2 - They parked their RV at Clinton / Knoxville North KOA in Clinton, Tennessee - heavy rain - no adventures. |
October 3-4: The two RV Gypsies drove in the rain to Chattanooga North KOA in McDonald, TN (and they had quite a time delay because they passed 4 major accidents on the highway, but they were not involved.)On October 4th, the rain finally stopped so they went to Red Clay State Historical Park to see the famous blue hole,hiked the trail for some much needed exercise. October 15: The two RV Gypsies arrived in Deerfield Beach, Florida. They set up their RV then drove to their daughter's house for dinner. Then they returned to the RV and Karen packed for a 7-day cruise with a friend. Lee stayed in the RV and rested for awhile. |
