The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers

and an interactive map linking to photos and some history
from the 2015 travels

IMPORTANTbullet The BEST WAY to explore the 2015 travels of the Two RV Gypsies, is to SCROLL DOWN UNDER the INTERACTIVE map where you will find a brief description of what is located at each number on the map, and a link to that page.

bullet OR click on #1 on the map and at the bottom of that page there will be a link to the next spot on the map, and each page thereafter. This will allow you to view every site on the map without returning to this page. BUT due to the numbers being so close together, they are not always easy to choose, that is why it is recommended that you scroll down under the map before choosing a site.

bullet OR you may click on any number on the map to see only photos of that area.

Details of sites are below the map; just choose the underlined section that you wish to view. This is a very large section.

bullet 2. April 23-25 - The two RV Gypsies drove to St. Petersburg, Florida and took a wonderful Segway tour with St Pet Segway Tours, and a very knowledgeable guide, Tom. The two RV Gypsies also rode on the Dolphin Racer Speedboat and watched dolphins surfing on the wake of the boat. All photos are posted. A video of the dolphins is also posted and can be reached by choosing the TOC button above and then choosing the wildlife button or the D button.

April 26 - 29 - The two RV Gypsies drove to DeLand, Florida and visited their friends DeeDee and Forest. NO photos were taken here.

bullet 3. May 1, 2015 - The two RV Gypsies drove to Alabama and explored Dauphin Island and Fort Gaines.

bullet 4. May 2, 2015 - Biloxi, Mississippi and a shrimping trip and more: War memorials, Hurricanes Katrina and Camille memorials, Sharksheads, otter catching a catfish, a lighthouse, a 2,000 year old tree and a lot more.

bullet14. May 19-28, 2015 - San Diego, California: Mount Helix, beaches, Tuna Harbor, Sunset Cliffs Nature Park, Balboa Park, USS Aircraft Carriers, memorials, monuments, Bob Hope Military Salute, Unconditional Surrender Statue, Botanical Gardens and more.

Note: For most of the time that the two RV Gypsies were in San Diego, their RV (their ONLY home) was in repair at the San Diego Freightliner, making them "homeless" in San Diego. During this time, they stayed one night at the Hilton Hamptons, and two nights at Embassy Suites. Reviews of these hotels are posted. Several nights were spent sleeping in the RV on the street in front of Freightliner (Lee's stupid idea). The two RV Gypsies liked the Embassy Suites much better than the Hilton Hamptons.

bullet 15. May 29-June 9, 2015 - The two RV Gypsies parked their RV at Los Angeles KOA in Pomona, California and spent time with Karen's sister Ilse and her family, and did some interesting things. During this time their jeep died and they had to buy a new (used) car and get it set up for towing.

bullet 16. June 10-11, 2015 - The two RV Gypsies drove a long distance to San Francisco on the 10th. Then on the 11th, they explored the city of San Francisco again and drove down the famous "zig-zag" road several times, and of course tried to see the Golden Gate Bridge through the fog.

bullet 17. June 12-14, 2015 - Redwood Nat'l Park, Avenue of the Giants, Trees of Mystery:
The drive from San Francisco to Eureka, California was shorter in distance than the drive to San Francisco, but all vehicles towing were limited to 55 mph speed limit and because of the curvy, steep mountains with many very sharp corners, the RV was often quite slow going up the mountain roads. But they finally arrived in Eureka, California and were amazed as they marveled at the tall Redwood trees. Then the two RV Gypsies even drove their car through two trees as seen by choosing the link above.

bullet 18. June 15, 2015 - Florence, Oregon: Devil's Churn and Dune Buggy Ride
