Lee and Karen Duquette, The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers saw Wildlife in Jasper National Park Jasper, Alberta, Canada July 31 - August 2, 2015
Almost as soon as the two RV Gypsies entered the Icefields Parkway, they saw a very big elk on the road. Lee and Karen Duquette watched it until it went into the woods, but they did not approach it like the two jerks shown below did. Always respect wildlife as they can become aggressive. Safety first!

Below: Lee Duquette parked by the side of the road and the elk shown below came and looked right in their car window (which was closed).They were very glad it did not get aggressive because they could not move the car that quickly. These animals could even attack a car, if they chose to do so.


Below: Karen Duquette at a (hopefully) safe distance from a retreating elk. She knew the elk was walking away from her, not towards her. Plus her car was very near her at this time.

The last time that Lee and Karen Duquette were in Jasper in 2009. they saw more deer and more elk in big groups, but they were still thrilled to such big elk on this trip. They also returned to other parts of Alberta Canada in 2016.
