The two RV Gypsies, Lee and Karen Duquette,
took their third fun-filled scenic dune buggy ride over glistening valleys,
vast hills, and desert atmosphere - which added up to one of the most
fascinating adventures they may ever experience. The driver drove up,
down and SIDEWAYS on dunes that were about 70 feet
or more in height, and then out onto the beach, and then on for even
more dune excitement. (They did not take a dune buggy tour when they
were here in 2013 because Karen Duquette's sister was with them and
it was not her thing). |

looked like a dot in the giant sand dune. |

Below: Karen Duquette randomly took photos
with her camera without looking through the view finder of her camera
in the hopes of getting decent pictures, which she did. The dune buggy
went at a fast pace and made sudden turns, often being sideways on a
dune. The ride was mostly bouncy so the camera could not be held still.
Karen just pointed the camera in all directions and snapped photos.
They came out okay. She even took some selfies with her big camera. |

Below: There were two other
dune buggies out today. The blue one got stuck in the sand and the other
two drivers had to stop and help. |

Lee and Karen Duquette (and the other passenger) in the dune buggy.
Then it was forward to the beach, and the driver took a few more photos. |

was more experienced, and liked to keep an eye on the other two dune

The driver for Lee and Karen Duquette did
not follow the other dune buggies. He often went higher and steeper
into the dunes, and then headed towards the other dune buggies, which
allowed Karen the opportunity to get great shots of the other dune buggies.
The dunes are very tall and the dune buggies looked like toys in the
sand. |

the sand. The dots are really the blue and the yellow dune buggies. |

This was actually Lee and Karen Duquette's third time ridding dune buggies
at this sand dune. The first time was back in May 2009. The two RV Gypsies
liked it so much that they took a second tour the very next day. Those
photos can be found here, or by using the TOC button below and choosing
