If there is a single characteristic element of San Francisco,
it must be its impassable streets with their steep slopes. |
|
|
Below: Lombard Street (the zig-zag street)
is located between Hyde and Leavenworth and is known as the steepest
street in San Francisco, although it is not actually the holder of this
title. Every day hundreds of tourists come to the street to take pictures
of its 40 degree incline and zig-zag design, just as the two RV Gypsies
did. |

|
Lee Duquette drove down the famous zig-zag
street (Lombard) while Karen Duquette took movies out of the window.
Then Karen Duquette joined the crowd on the corner below the zig-zag
street and took photos looking up at the zig-zag street. |

|
Below: Then Lee Duquette drove back up
another steep street so they could drive down the zig-zag street (Lombard)
again. |
