Mt. Helix Parks recognized as one of San Diego County's most magnificent landmarks, where people come for spectacular views of San Diego. Located at 1,370 feet above sea level, it is one of the highest points within view of the ocean. This is a nice secluded place to get some fresh air. It is an easy drive to the top and has a small parking lot, but it gets a bit busy at times and you may find yourself parking on the narrow street on the way up the mountain if you show up late in the day. Once you get up there, the Cross is a nice landmark to see. There
are also a few short dirt trails going around the summit and you can
find your own personal boulder to sit on to give you the idea that you
have the whole summit to yourself. |
