Blue Lake RV Resort is located by Bonners Ferry and Blue Lake. The park has a dock and canoe rentals (no motors allowed). Swimming is at your own risk. They can accommodate big rigs, RV groups, and tents, plus there were cabins to rent. There were nice tall pine trees in the park. A few TV stations came in OK. The campground Wi-Fi was fast. Check out time was noon. There is a casino, golf course, National Wildlife Refuge, several waterfalls, and Kootenai River nearby. The park was run by a very nice young couple. Pacific Standard Time Zone. Elevation 1,896 feet. |
As the two RV Gypsies turned off the road to enter the park, they had to cross a railroad track with no stop gates. Yes, that means trains with horns were heard in the park, even in the middle of the night, the one thing Karen Duquette hates most of all. |

Behind the office, there was a deck where they held entertainment one night - two guys singing and playing instruments. The entertainment was very good. The park also sold wine and beer to those over 21 during the entertainment. While on that deck Lee Duquette noticed giant pick-up sticks in the huge area behind the office and deck. So of course Lee Duquette just had to play with the giant pick-up sticks. |
While Lee Duquette was playing with the giant pick-up sticks, Karen Duquette tried out some of the exercise equipment on the nearby deck. That did not last too long though because Karen heard a hammock calling her name. |
Karen Duquette decided she would rather relax in the hammock than exercise. Oh Yeah! Lee Duquette enjoyed sitting in the lawn chairs by the lake and watching the kids swim while Karen relaxed in the hammock. |
One of the trees the hammock was tied to had wooden chimes that swung in the gentle breeze, making a clicking noise that helped Karen Duquette relax. There were also several cute little things all around. This was a very nice area in the park. |
