BEAR MOUNTAIN RV RESORT
& CAMPGROUND It appeared that many RV's were permanent here, older, and not well maintained. |
|
The entrance road to the campground was uphill, narrow, and curvy. When the two RV Gypsies checked in at the campground office, Karen asked the person at the front office desk, "What happens if we meet someone coming up the hill?" and he said, "You stop" and I asked, "Yeah, and then what?" He did not respond. If a motorhome towing a toad up the hill met a motorhome towing a toad going down the hill - there WILL be a major problem. There was not enough room to pull over and neither RV would be able to back up. So, when the two RV Gypsies left the campground, Karen drove the toad down the hill and prevented anyone from attempting the drive up until after she called Lee and told him it was safe to drive the motorhome got down the hill. The pictures below don't show the steepness or narrowness of the hill but it does show the curves. |
