| During the
summer months at Tiekel River, high temperatures regularly reach the 60's.
For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into
the 40's. Throughout the winter, highs are commonly in the 0's with temperatures
at Tiekel River dipping down into the MINUS 20's during winter nights.
Tiekel River is a location that is rather waterless frequently. Of all
the months in the year, July is the one with the most rain, and April
on the other hand is the driest. These photos were taken in June and Tiekel
River was flowing well. Lee and Karen Duquette did not get rained on in
Alaska, but they heard that 2008 was a very rainy summer. |
