Lee and Karen Duquette
on a bad road trip to Beagle Ridge Winery that did not work out
July 18, 2023

The two RV Gypsies set out in their toad to go to Beagle Ridge Winery at 1934 Matney Flats Road in Wytheville, Virginia. This is an herb farm that specializes in Lavender and butterflies. They did NOT call ahead at -276-621-4511, as they should have.

The road going there was all gravel and dirt with several holes. Lee Duquette drove slowly. They hated the sound of the gravel hitting their car, even though their car is old. Karen Duquette wondered why they did not meet any other traffic in either direction.

Arriving at a LOCKED gate, the two RV Gypsies learned that this winery is only open Thursday through Sunday
10 - 5 at this time, And this was a Tuesday. It pays to do research ahead of time, which the two RV Gypsies, normally do but did not do on this date.

Leaving the area via a different route, they saw the sign posted below. Too bad the hours were not posted at the first sign, shown at the top of this page. Well, at least the two RV Gypsies enjoyed the deer.
