Chattooga River Access in Sumter National Forest

The Two RV Gypsies briefly stopped at the Chattooga River Access point in Sumter National Forest to get a better look at the river and enjoyed watching kayakers May 23, 2023








Below: The first kayaker went down the short but steep rapid. He made it look a lot easier than the two RV Gypsies expected.

Below: Some of the kayakers had regular paddles, others had hand paddles, which the two RV Gypsies had never seen before.

Below: Then the two RV Gypsies walked the trail down to the lower part of the Chattooga River, but the kayakers had already been past this point when the two RV Gypsies arrived. So the two RV Gypsies walked back up the steep hill to their car. (It was a steep hill for the two RV Gypsies even though it does not look steep in the photo below).
