The
Two RV Gypsies stopped to eat at
Wades Restaurant in Pinewood Shopping Center
1000 N. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 |

This
restaurant was very busy. It specializes in Southern Food. Wade's Restaurant
was founded in 1947 by Wade and Betty Lindsey when they purchased a small
grocery store on South Pine Street in Spartanburg, SC. Mrs. Betty began
serving her family's recipes of Southern-style meats and vegetables from
a lunch counter in the back, and word soon spread.
In the 75 years since, the Lindsey Family and their dedicated team have
continued to make traditional Southern dishes with perfectly seasoned
vegetables, quality ingredients, and made-from-scratch bread -- all served
up by friendly people in our welcoming dining room and ToGo area. Come
taste our Southern hospitality! Its traditional meat-and-three menu includes
homemade, made-from-scratch ingredients.

The food and service was ok, but the two RV Gypsies will
NOT be returning to this restaurant. Below is a photo of the outside
of the restaurant and a large box truck in the parking lot advertising
the restaurant.

Below: Upon entering the restaurant, the
two RV Gypsies liked the signs on the walls in the entry, so Karen Duquette
quickly snapped a few photos. |

Karen Duquette took a picture of a parade bunny that was on a shelf by
a mirror. Karen liked the mirrored reflection. |
