The
Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers at Sarah P. Duke Gardens 420 Anderson Street Durham, North Carolina July 22, 2021 |
NOTE: There are a lot of pictures on this page, and even though they have been preloaded, it may take a moment for some of them to show up. It is worth the wait, because Duke Gardens has a lot more in it besides flowers. |
Below: When Karen Duquette saw a butterfly on a flower, of course she took a photo. Then the butterfly left the flower, it lightly brushed Karen's shoulder and then flew back to the flowers. Guess the butterfly really wanted Karen to take lots of pictures of it. |

Below: Another fountain in Duke Gardens, and very colorful arrangements all around the area. |

Below: The Frances P. Rollins Overlook - and a small pond. |

Below: Flowers and fish in the pond. |
Below: The two RV Gypsies walked up the stairs to get a different view of the pond, and Karen Duquette paused to take photos of a bird. |
Below: More flowers - after all, this is a garden! |
Below: One lonely flower on a tree branch, just begging to be photographed. |
Below: The two RV Gypsies are not sure what this tree is called, but they liked it, and thought it looked sort of like a poodle dog. |

Emergency call booths were throughout the park. |
Below: Since it was a very hot day, Karen Duquette could not resist the urge to let the sprinkler cool her down. |
Below: The Japanese teahouse was not open for visitors on this date. |
Below: Karen Duquette fell in love with the Tiger Lily and could not resist taking a lot of photos of the flower. |

Below: The two RV Gypsies took a quick look at the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden and the bird houses. But by now, they were quite hot and tired, so they did not explore it further. |
Below: While crossing over a small bridge, the two RV Gypsies noticed another bridge, and water with dividers. |
Below: Another small pond on the way out of the Gardens |
