The
two RV Gypsies: Full-time RVers drove their RV to New York and stopped at the amazing Chautauqua Rest Stop June 21, 2021 |
The two RV Gypsies stopped at Chautauqua Lake Rest Stop, which serves eastbound traffic on I-86 between exits 10 and 11 in the town of Ellery, Chautauqua County, NY. They were impressed by the Victorian Style architecture, and all of the flags. This is the western most rest area in the state of New York. |
Below: This rest area is on a high bluff called Bemus Point that overlooks the lake shown in the photo below. Nice, round tables with adjoining seats provide a pleasant rest area, which is quite unique, tranquil, with no highway noise. |
Below: There were lots of interesting and informative signs. |
Below: Leaving the Chautauqua Lake Rest Stop, the two RV Gypsies noticed several bridges with railings that sort of look like X's. Each bridge had different colored X's. Karen Duquette only photographed one of the bridges though. |
