The
Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers at Camp Bell Campground 8700 State Route 415 in Campbell, NY June 21 - 22, 2021 |
Campbell is a town in Steuben County, New York, USA. The name is from Robert Campbell, an early land owner. The Town of Campbell is centrally located in Steuben County and is northwest of Corning, NY. Campbell was first settled around 1801 and the town was formed in 1831 from the Town of Hornby. |
Camp Bell Campground is PRIVATELY owned. On this date, the two RV Gypsies paid $46 a night and there was no sewer and no TV. But they were able to connect to a hot spot while in their RV. There were lots of permanent RVs in the campground. The roads were dirt and gravel. The picnic table was really nasty and unusable, which seems to be very common in campgrounds. The fire ring was small, but moveable. But there was a nice playground and a heated pool, which of course, the two RV Gypsies did not use. As usual, the two RV Gypsies did not use anything in the campground except their own site. There was also a Honey Wagon.Check-in and Check-out time were both 1 p.m. on this date. Most standard campground rules applied. The campground paperwork stated that New York State Laws require that bicyclists under the age of 14 must wear safety certified bicycle helmets. Also, anyone under 18 riding a motorized bike (scooter) must wear a helmet. New York state laws also requires that children under the age of 18 at the pool must be accompanied by an adult. |

Below: The check in office, and a mini
golf area next to it. The office had a book exchange and activity room,
but the two RV Gypsies never found the time to go check it out. It poured
heavy rain with lightning as soon as the two RV Gypsies got their RV
parked - (the same situation as in the previous campground). This turned
out to be very rainy trip.
