The
Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers |
|
As Lee Duquette was driving along, Karen Duquette photographed some of the roads and hills through the front window of the moving RV. There was very little traffic the whole trip, and mostly 70 mph speed limits. Lee does not drive the RV over 60 mph. |
|
Below: A campground out in the middle of nowhere. It was off-season, and only a couple of RVs were in the campground. There seemed to be a big distance to a nearby city or attraction in either direction, so the campground location struck the two RV Gypsies as strange. Of course that campground was NOT the destination for the two RV Gypsies. |

The office for Billings Village RV Park (a Good Sam Park) was just a short distance from the roadway. The row of mailboxes indicate that there are several permanent RVers at this park. |

Below: Next to the office, there was a nice house where the owners must live. |

Below: The road and new site for the two RV Gypsies. Obviously this is a well-maintained park with PAVED roads. The park map shows 83 sites, a north laundry room and restrooms, plus a south laundry room. The only other amenities listed in the park brochure were showers, playground, guest parking, and a book exchange. All sites were back-in sites. TRAINS blowing horns were heard frequently. There were two sewers per site. One sewer was much bigger, so it must be for full-time residents. Vehicle parking was on the door side of each RV, not in empty RV spaces or on the street or in the grass. Three dumpsters were located within the park. RV Washing was permitted for a charge of $5 for tow and $10 for RV.The park had free cable TV with lots of TV stations and coded Wi-Fi that worked fast. Most other park rules applied. |
