When the two RV Gypsies pulled into the parking lot, there were only 2 cars there. Karen said to Lee, "The lack of cars in the parking lot is a bad sign." Lee said, "It is off-hours, because it is after breakfast time and before lunch." So the two RV Gypsies went inside the restaurant and discovered that there were not any customers and they had the entire restaurant to themselves. Before they could walk out of the restaurant, they were greeted by an elderly man, so they decided to stay and they ordered breakfast.
Karen
Duquette noticed that the bar stools at the counter had ripped seats.
Lee Duquette had a standard egg breakfast which was OK. Karen ordered
the chipped beef on toast, and when it arrived, the toast was soggy,
and there were only a few specks of chipped beef, so it was like sauce
on toast, and not even warm. The coffee was also weak and cold, and
one of the coffee cups was chipped. The two RV Gypsies just did not
have the heart to complain as the server was so delighted to have customers.
Plus the prices were reasonable, so they just gobbled what they could
of the food, paid the bill, left a tip and left the restaurant, never
to return. |
