Chau Ram County
Park is located of Hwy 76 in Westminster, SC. The park encompasses over
400 acres of woodland with 2 miles of the Chauga River to explore. There
is hiking, tubing, fishing, swimming, camping, or a relaxing picnic
at this scenic location, but at the section that the two RV Gypsies
visited, there was no fishing, swimming or camping. It is a much bigger
park than the suspension bridge section that the two RV Gypsies visited. |

Below: The 160-foot long suspension
bridge spanning the Chauga River. It did sway a bit, but not as much
as so many other suspension bridges that Lee and Karen Duquette have
been on. This was the 21st suspension bridge that they have been on.
And one of them was 1,270 feet long. Several were quite wobbly. This

took a short hike after crossing the bridge. There were a couple of
other trails, but Lee Duquette did not feel like hiking them, because
he only hikes if there is a prize (usually a waterfall) at the end of
the hike and on this date, Lee and Karen already saw the prize - (the
suspension bridge). |
