The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers
enjoyed the - BBQ - Pig - Pork With An Attitude
on Beale Street
in Memphis, Tennessee
July 13, 2014 and July 26, 2014unhappy face

The two RV Gypsies had lunch at the Pig Restaurant because it had a whole bunch of award trophies for best BBQ in its windows.

The BBQ sandwich was amazing, but the restaurant did not have any air conditioning, just fans, and so it was very hot inside. (It was 95 degrees outside). Service was fairly quick, even though the restaurant was very busy. It was the busiest restaurant on Beale Street, so therefore it was noisy inside. The atmosphere and style reminded the two RV Gypsies more of a diner, rather than a restaurant. But again, the BBQ sandwich was excellent - BUT see the note below.

July  26, 2014 - The two RV Gypsies returned to this restaurant with Karen Duquette's sister, Ilse Blahak, and what a surprise. The same BBQ sandwich was not as good. As a matter of fact, not one of the three of them liked the food. Maybe because it was a busy Saturday night. Who knows. It just goes to show that a restaurant can be great on one day, and terrible a few days later. Or Vice-Versa.

importantNote: The above comments are just the experience of the two RV Gypsies. These comments do not make the restaurant good or bad in general.
