Karen,

in Lausanne and Ouchy, Switzerland

The people in
Lausanne were very friendly. They spoke French, but also English. Most
of the food here was excellent, especially the veal dishes. |

One morning, Karen, Lee and
Brian Duquette decided to eat breakfast at a McDonalds. But this McDonalds
did not serve breakfast because they did not even open until 10:00 a.m.
But despite being hungry, none of them wanted another Continental breakfast.
The only breakfast food served at this McDonalds was Egg McMuffins,
which they call Mac CEuf (with the capital C and E touching each other).
Karen Duquette is not sure how it is pronounced.
The McDonalds menu also included hamburgers, Big Mac, Cheeseburgers,
Cheeseburger Royal and Hamburger Royal. All of which were written on
the menu is such a way that looked English to Karen. Also, Mac le Marin
(a fish sandwich), Frites (fires), Chausson Aux pommes (drinks), Cafe
(the only American coffee Karen found in Europe and it sure tasted extra
good!!!) But the biggest surprise was that McDonalds also served WINE!

Karen Duquette
took the above pictures inside McDonalds of the French signs, etc. mostly
to send to her daughter Renee Duquette who manages a McDonalds in Florida,
and to show her that they serve wine. Maybe Renee can have fun with
the pictures at break time at work with her co-workers. |

a bit of fun with this giant set. |
