Lee and Karen Duquette,
The Two RV Gypsies aka Full-Time RVers
saw Wildlife in Jasper
and just outside Jasper, Alberta, Canada
August 27, 2009 and July 31-August 2, 2015

They say this is Bear Country, but Karen Duquette thinks it should be called Elk Country because elk were everywhere. The first set of photos below include elk, black bear, coyote, mountain goats, white goats and deer in 2009.

Below those are the 2015 photos, which are completely different.

Almost as soon as the two RV Gypsies entered the Icefields Parkway, they saw a very big elk on the road. They watched it until it went into the woods, but they did not approach it like the two jerks shown below did.

Below: The two RV Gypsies were parked by the side of the road and the elk shown below came and looked right in their car window (which was closed, thankfully). They were very glad it did not get aggressive because they could not move the car that quickly.
