Lee and Karen Duquette
started their car trip northward at the North Carolina
Welcome Center
then through Tennessee and Kentucky and more states

They had planned
to take this trip in their RV, but at the last minute, they discovered
a problem with the RV. And since Karen Duquette's sister, Ilse Blahak,
who lives in California had already paid for an air flight to meet them
(in Rhode Island, which they do not want to change), they had to cancel
all the campgrounds they already had booked. So they took the trip as
planned by car and booked hotels. Most of the hotels were NOT very nice.
RV repairs just had to wait. |

A state that Karen and Lee Duquette have visited many times in the past,
so Karen did not take a lot of photos. Actually, they even lived in
Tennessee in 1978 - 1979, long before they started travel as the two
RV Gypsies and many of those travels can be seen by using the USA States
button at the bottom of most pages, and then choosing Tennessee. Maybe
one day Karen will post the Tennessee photos from long past. If she
does, they will be put under the Flashback button. |

time, they were just passing through so Karen Duquette did not take

Pizza for dinner in Lexington, KY. There was not a lot of dinner choices
in the area. The pizza and service was good. |
