Winston-Salem
is a city in and the county seat of Forsyth County, North Carolina,
United States. Winston-Salem is home to the tallest office building
in the region, 100 North Main Street, formerly known as the Wachovia
Building and now known locally as the Wells Fargo Center. But the two
RV Gypsies did not visit that building on this date. |
|
After their 36th Segway tour, the two RV Gypsies wanted
to have a quick meal. Lee Duquette wanted chicken and Karen
Duquette wanted an adult beverage. Luckily they found a chicken place
and an adult lounge side-by-side in Winston-Salem, NC. They sat outside
at a picnic table to enjoy their food and drink. Unfortunately, the
chicken from Slappy's Chicken was very dry and not very good. They
would never eat there again. But they wanted something quick to eat,
because it was approaching dusk and Lee does not like night driving.

Below: While Lee Duquette was at the place
shown above and ordering chicken, Karen Duquette went next door to order
her drink at Monstercade, a quirky night club in Winston-Salem and performance
venue. It is known as the "strangest bar" in North Carolina.
She tried something she never had before and it had Lavender in it.
She discovered that she really did not like Lavender that much. But
of course, she paid for it so she drank it.
While her drink, was being made, Karen took a few photos inside the
very interesting place with its unusual weird and eclectic decor. Apparently
they just had a Halloween Bash there, and although those decorations
had already been taken down according to the lady making Karen's drink,
Karen still found the decor quite interesting and worth a few photos.
Karen wishes she lived near here so she could attend some of their events. |
