The
two RV Gypsies in Kentucky |
|
After Walking over the John
A Roebling Bridge from Cincinnati, Ohio, the two RV Gypsies stepped
into Covington, Kentucky, and then walked back over the bridge to Ohio. |
|
Below: As they were leaving Covington,
Kentucky, Karen Duquette looked backwards and took a couple of photos
of a mural on a flood wall. |
|
|
|
|
Then the two RV Gypsies noticed
a barge emerging out from under the bridge, and so they took a few photos. |

back into Ohio.

Arriving back in Ohio, the two RV Gypsies
then walked over another bridge (the purple people bridge) which took
them back into Kentucky, but this time it was to Newport, Kentucky. |

Newport on the Levee is a dining and attraction
destination located on Third Street in Newport, Kentucky. It is located
adjacent to the Purple People Bridge along the Ohio River and boasts
views of downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River. The Levee is only one
block away from the East Row Historic District and the Monmouth Street
Historic District. It is named after the levee that it rests on. |

Below: A cute little place to get a drink,
but it was closed, so the two RV Gypsies ordered drinks from the place
right next to it (as shown below the photo of The Buzz). As soon as
they got their drinks, The Buzz opened up. |

stools by the rivers edge and enjoyed their drinks and the scenery. |

Then the two RV Gypsies walked to go see
The World Peace Bell, located at 425 York Street in Newport, Kentucky.
It is a remnant of the Twin Towers at 9/11 Memorial. The World Peace
Bell is the world's largest free-swinging bell. It weighs 66,000 pounds,
is 12 feet in diameter and 12 feet high. Its clapper alone weighs an
amazing 6,878 pounds. The yoke in which it swings weighs an additional
16,512 pounds. This magnificent bell rings with a powerful, awe-inspiring,
deep resonant tone that is truly a majestic symbol of freedom and peace.
Unfortunately, it did not ring while the two RV Gypsies were here. |

Gypsies. |

Near the World's Peace Bell shown above,
the two RV Gypsies saw a monument and statue honoring firefighters. |

The two RV Gypsies did a quick walk-through
in the Rotolo to see the bowling alley with an added full Italian-inspired
restaurant. Rotolo takes a modern spin on the traditional bowling alley,
featuring two full-service bars and 68 seat restaurant, 16 state-of-the-art
bowling lanes, a full bocce court, billiards, foosball, life-size checkers,
and plenty of patio spaces to kick back, relax and enjoy this sweet
escape. |

After walking back over one of the bridges
to Cincinnati, the two RV Gypsies, crossed into Kentucky once again,
but this time, they drove their car across the busy bridge to find a
restaurant. |
