Karen Duquette wanted to drive a real military tank, so they went to Tank Town USA in Morganton, Georgia just so she could do that. She was told to wear old clothes because she would get dirty. It was a cold morning, so Karen dressed warmly, but when she saw the pictures, she was sorry that she wore black. Toby was a wonderful guide, verbally teaching Karen how to drive the tank. Karen Duquette highly recommends this adventure. |

Below: Photos taken before the tank ride. The drive was basically around in a loop, and through the big mud puddle as well. |

took some panoramas of the area. |

Below: A ladder
was placed by the loading platform. The seats on top of the tank was
re-designed for the passengers, in this case, for Lee Duquette. |

it was time for Karen Duquette to climb the ladder up onto the tank. |

Toby took a photo of the two RV Gypsies after Lee Duquette was safely seat-belted in. |

Below: Two openings in the tank. The small rectangle opening is for the driver
and the round one is for Toby so he can verbally instruct the driver.
He does NOT have any controls. |

Below: Cars that
have been crushed by other tank drivers. Karen Duquette would have loved
to do that but could not afford the extra price at this time, even though
prices are reasonable for what is offered. She would have liked a longer
driving time though for this once-in-a-lifetime event. Cost is why Lee
Duquette did not drive the tank on this date. |

After the short, but fun drive, Toby took a few pictures of Karen and

Karen Duquette bought a T-shirt. even though she seldom wears T-shirts because
this one is special. But she does want to add something to the T-shirt
before she posts a photo here because it needs to state that she ACTUALLY
DROVE the tank. |
