This chapel is usually open to visitors from sunrise to sunset except during private events such as Sunday and Monday morning worship services for campers. Many times it is booked all day Saturdays and Sundays. Be sure to check the official website before going. There are no restroom facilities from December 1 through March 15 each year. |

Fred W. Symmes Chapel (also know as "Pretty Place"because of its amazing view) is one of many buildings on private property - YMCA Camp Greenville in Cleveland, SC. The current chapel was built in 1941 with several additions and improvements in 2012 and 2018. |

This is an open air sanctuary overlooking the rolling hills of Greenville County. The Chapel is perched atop Stone Mountain in YMCA Camp Greenville. The weather did not provide the Two RV Gypsies with any view of the scenery on this date. |
