Copperhead Island in Mecklenburg County, NC

Located just a few miles from McDowell Nature Preserve, Copperhead Island is a 14-acre park featuring a public boating access providing direct launching access to Lake Wylie. Copperhead Island also features a reservable area permitted for shelter rentals or group camping experiences. In addition to boating, there are select fishing piers and trails located within the park and the island area. Fishing is strictly prohibited off the boat dock or landings.
