Lee Duquette crossed an item off his "bucket list" He tried the cheesesteak sandwich at both Pat's and Geno's in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania August 24, 2014 |
Lee Duquette drove around the block several times looking for a parking spot. Both sides of every street had parked cars. The one-lane, one-way road he turned on was so narrow, one wheel was partially on the sidewalk and Lee had to fold his side-view mirror in. |

Below: Both cheese steak sandwiches - Lee Duquette liked Pat's better. Karen Duquette thought they were both too dry, but liked Pat's better too, Everyone has different opinions and that is why they are in competition with each other. Both places were very busy, yet gave good, quick service. |

Next door to Geno's was Zoey's Yogurt Bar. They welcomed people to eat their Geno's cheesesteak there as long as they also buy a yogurt. (There is limited seating at both cheesesteak places). You make your own yogurt with any mixture of yogurt and toppings and pay by how much it weighs. Be careful, it gets expensive! |
