The town of Fort Mill hosted an all-day learning event at the Firehouse. The great-grandson of the two RV Gypsies crawled through a tent and learned how to escape a fire.

Below: The two RV Gypsies watched firemen use the jaws of life to rescue a "person" in a crashed car.
Flashback Note and photo: Lee Duquette was once a volunteer fireman and learned how to use the jaws of life, so Karen found a flashback photo of Lee learning to use the manual jaws of life and placed it on this page. That is Lee Duquette below in the yellow firecoat and helmet in 1979.
