Washington DC / Capitol KOA campground was a standard KOA campground, but very expensive because it is close to Washington DC, and they provide shuttle service to DC. The two RV Gypsies thought that $70 a night was a lot, because they have stayed at nicer campgrounds for a lot less money.
Their site was not even long enough for their 40 foot RV and toad.
No cable TV, but a few channels did come in, but not ABC. They had unsecured
Wi-Fi at sites but it was super slow. Gravel/dirt roads. The water pressure
was not very good, so it was hard to wash and rinse long hair.
Check in time was 2 p.m. Check out time was NOON. There could be a
$25 fee if you are not out of your site by noon. The two RV Gypsies
stayed here because they wanted to visit three sets of friends who live
nearby. The only amenities they used at the campground was a site with
full hook-ups. They were only in the campground to sleep, so they can
not make any further comments about this campground. |
