At the top of the sand dune, it was a super steep drop down to the beach and the Pacific Ocean.

Note: When the two RV Gypsies were here in 2009, they made their way down the steep sand dune to the Pacific Ocean, but Lee and Ilse did not want to do this on this date in 2013, so Karen decided not to go down there by herself.
