As the two RV Gypsies were driving to the world famous
UFO Watch Tower, they noticed several billboards and unique signs
for an Alligator Farm. They wondered why would an Alligator
Farm be in Colorado! Not that they wanted to go to the Alligator Farm
anyway because they had a house in Florida from 1979 - 2008, and have
seen lots of alligators.

The two RV Gypsies at the world famous UFO Watch Tower. |
The UFO Watchtower consists of an observation platform, campground, and gift shop north of Hooper, Colorado. The watchtower, which has a 360-degree view of the San Luis Valley, was created by Judy Messoline in May 2000 to capitalize on the existing use of the property by UFO observers. There have been TV documentaries done on the UFO sightings in the area and several books have been written on the subject. Since its inception it has received widespread United States and international media coverage. |
The UFO Watchtower was easy to find, as it is just north of the small town of Hooper on Highway 17, not far from Great Sand Dunes National Park. And there were blue and green aliens pointing the way. |
Below: The funky alien with red eyes, and another alien tangled in the American Flag pointed the way to the parking lot and Healing Garden. |
Below: There was a little dust storm in the far distance - and several aliens pointed the way to the parking lot. |

NO, the two RV Gypsies did not camp here - it was only for tent camping. At the UFO Welcome Center, the two RV Gypsies were told that everyone leaves something behind to make peace with the aliens and that they should go upstairs to the viewing area. |
Below: The aliens sure were friendly with Karen Duquette, and they let her peak out of the windows of their spaceship. But her hat blew away and Lee Duquette had to catch it. |
Below: The two RV Gypsies were told that they should leave something of importance in the Healing Garden, so they decided to honor their son Brian Duquette by letting a green alien be guardian of Brian's Memory Card. |
Below; This really endearing Healing Garden is made up of all types of items that people have lovingly placed throughout the area. |
Below: There was a green alien showing the two RV Gypsies the way out and another alien waving them good-bye. |
Below: The two RV Gypsies drove back towards Great Dunes National Park and along the way, they saw a small dust storm in the distance. As the two RV Gypsies drove on, they watched the dust storm grow bigger and bigger, then it just dissipated into nothing. |
