| July 12, 2011 - The two RV Gypsies and their grandson Alex Jones went island hoping on the Jet Express, the fastest way to Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island. It traveled at 35 knots (about 40 miles per hour). |
| Then they boarded the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay which was half the fun of getting to Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island. They got to relax while enjoying a narrated tour of the history of the island. | |

Many believe that the name originates from some early maps of South Bass Island that showed the harbor being named Pudding Bay, probably because it was shaped like a pudding sack. | |

| Put-in-Bay is a small summer resort vacation destination located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie's shallow western basin. Put in Bay has been a summer resort since the mid 1800's, thrived during the turn of the last century during the Victorian era when thousands of visitors disembarked from a half dozen different steam ships that anchored here. | |
