Cheyenne Regional Medical Group (CRMG) is one of the largest groups of medical providers in Wyoming and is part of the Cheyenne Regional Healthcare System, which serves the people of Southeast Wyoming, Northern Colorado and Western Nebraska. It has an experienced team of more than 70 providers that offer a complete continuum of care, ranging from pediatrics and family medicine, to advanced specialty care including oncology, orthopedics and cardiology, and of course the Emergency Room and the Hospital rooms.

So many nurses and doctors were in and out of the room constantly. It was obvious that they cared about Lee's well-being. Lee found the food to be terrible and barely ate, partially because his food intake was very limited, and partially because he just did not fell well, obviously. Everyone was caring and considerate and even the doctor took time to explain things to both Lee and Karen, as needed. It was several days before any surgery was done, and it was very scary.

Below: The food in the hospital cafeteria was okay, but not that great either. But Karen had no choice but to go and buy herself some food during the day. The photo below is a small part of the "dining area". Karen liked sitting near the window, where she could see the grassy area where workers were allowed to sit. On day one, Karen ate the chile and the lobster, shrimp mixture.

Below: A few photos inside the hospital. Obviously Karen Duquette did not take many photos IN the hospital, and none of these were taken until several days after Lee Duquette was admitted.

Below: Painted boots outside of Cheyenne Hospital. Again, Karen Duquette photographed each side of the boot, plus the front toe area. (Of course it was several days AFTER Lee was admitted before any of these photos were taken). Karen took them one day on her way back into the hospital to see how Lee was doing. These were by the entrance to the hospital.

Karen Duquette stayed in Lee Duquette's hotel room for most of the day and into the evening before returning to the hotel. Fortunately, the hospital was only a 7 - 10 minute drive back to Karen Duquette's hotel room. And there was never a lot of traffic, which was great, because Karen did have to drive back and forth each morning and evening, of course.

Below: Karen saw a notice in the hospital lobby and she nominated one of the nurses. The Daisy Award is an international program that awards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by Nurses,

go to the next adventure of the two RV Gypsies After Lee and Karen Duquette's daughter flew in to Nebraska, Karen and Renee took a couple of short walks around the block, just to get some fresh air, and also to give privacy time to Lee while certain care was being given to him by the doctor or nurses.
