fYIThe U.S. National Whitewater Center is dedicated to the promotion of the active lifestyle. Since 2006, The Whitewater Center has been promoting access to the outdoors for all levels of participants through its 30+ land and water-based activities, outdoor instruction and certification programs, festivals, races, films, and various outdoor events throughout the year. The Whitewater Center empowers guests to play, relax, and learn outside. Guests can enjoy whitewater rafting and kayaking, flatwater kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, deep water solo, rock climbing, ziplines, ropes courses, ice skating, and mountain biking on a 50+ mile trail system. The two RV Gypsies and family enjoyed The Festival of Lights as they strolled along a half-mile walking trail that led them through a series of immersive light installations featuring honeycombs, vines, crystals, and other natural features integrated into the forest. The experience offered a range of approachable, multi-sensory works created by artist Meredith Connelly that are site-specific to the Whitewater Center. Lights was a rain or shine program on this date. It is not a permanent display.
