River's Edge Campground |
River's Edge Campground is a small campground located just east of Pensacola, Florida. All of the 50 amp sites were taken when the two RV Gypsies arrived, so they had to have a 30 amp site. It appeared that a lot of stationary RVs were in the 50 amp sites. There was no campground security gate. The roads were sand. The campground offered free Wi-Fi but the two RV Gypsies found it too slow to use and it only gave 15 minutes in a 24-hour period anyway. More internet time could be purchased. The two RV Gypsies usually use their own Wi-Fi anyway. No cable TV, and NO TV stations came in via antenna either. Extra guests could be charged $1 to visit, $2 if they stay overnight. Boat launch area free to campers but not to guests. There is a fee to wash cars or RVs, $5 on this date. Most standard campground rules apply. Military discounts honored. There wasn't much to do in the campground except fish or launch your boat. The two RV Gypsies did not spend much time in the campground, they were mostly out in their toad in Pensacola. Check-out was 11 a.m. |
