LeTub Saloon was established November 2nd 1959 as a Sunoco gas station, which closed by the energy crunch of the early seventies. The barren property was purchased in 1974 and the owner dedicated a concentrated year hand-building Le Tub totally of Flotsam, Jetsam and ocean borne treasures all gathered daily over 4 years of day break jogging on Hollywood Beach.
It is an outdoor seating saloon, located on The Intra-Coastal Waterway.
LeTub Saloon has been safely tucked away on A1A behind lush greenery, that even people who have lived in Hollywood for years, have unknowingly driven right past. For the last 32 years it has been a refuge to a large handful of lucky locals, whom either found it while boating on the Intercoastal Waterway or informed by word of mouth, for there were no signs and no advertising.

The two RV Gypsies used to stop at LeTub with friends by boat back in the 1980's. They no longer own a boat (nor a house) only their RV and car. So on this date, they returned here via car and once again, they enjoyed their view of the intercoastal, the passing boats, and the birds. |
