The
Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers stopped at Oasis RV Park 1201 W. Broadway Street Van Horn TX September 13 - 14, 2022 |
|
Please note that these comments do not make the campground good or bad in general. They are just comments about the experience of the two RV Gypsies on this date. It is their understanding that the owner of the campground may have been quite ill on this date, therefore the campground needs some repairs. But the two RV Gypsies felt safe here, and the lady in the office was very nice. |

As Lee Duquette was hooking up the RV at Oasis RV Park, Karen Duquette walked around and took some pictures, as shown below. Just as the two RV Gypsies finished said actions, it poured rain, although there were a few sprinkles earlier on the way in to the campground. The rain cooled down the inside of the RV, which was a good thing because the RV had overheated slightly just before the rain and thunder began. The campground was almost empty, a bit trashy, and right by the highway so there was road noise and trains. The campground had full hook-ups and the office was open until 9 p.m. On this date, the cost was $54 for 2 nights even after the two RV Gypsies used Passport America for a discount on the first night. The laundry room and recreation room were both closed, but the two RV Gypsies do not usually use either at any campground anyway. |
