The Terrace Bay Lighthouse opened on July 12, 2011 and is a 50 foot replica of the lighthouse at the Slate Islands which is the tallest lighthouse on the Great lakes. The Terrace Bay Lighthouse is situated in the main downtown core and allows visitors to travel up through the staircase inside and experience incredible views of Lake Superior, the Slate Islands, and the rest of the Municipality.

The Terrace Bay Lighthouse has open slats. Below is a view through the open slats from outside the lighthouse and also from inside the lighthouse.

The two RV Gypsies chose not to climb the stairs inside the Terrace Bay Lighthouse since the lighthouse is situated in a shopping plaza, and not near the water, so the view would not be worth the effort it would take to climb up and down all of the stairs.
