Lee and Karen Duquette, arrived in Nova Scotia
on September 2, 2011
Below are photos entering Nova Scotia, some beautiful sunset photos, and images from 3 different campgrounds. There is also a sub-menu at the bottom of this page for spectacular photos from The Swissair Flight III Memorial site, amazing images at Peggy's Cove, Cheticamp, Cape Breton Highlands National Park and more. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page.
Nova Scotia is one of Canada's three Maritime provinces and is the most populous province in Atlantic Canada. The name of the province is Latin for New Scotland but Nova Scotia is the recognized English-language name of the province. The provincial capital is Halifax. Nova Scotia is the second-smallest province in Canada with an area of 21,300 square mile, and is the second-most-densely populated province.

People with Scottish ancestry are the largest self-identified ethnic group in the province after Canadian (that population was 29.3% as of 2011).

The two RV Gypsies stayed in three different campgrounds in Nova Scotia. They really do not explore campgrounds very thoroughly nor do they spend much time in a campground, other than the evening time. Even though the two RV Gypsies are not big TV watchers, it is nice to have TV in the evening. However, in most of Canada the two RV Gypsies only had one or maybe three TV channels come in. Canada only switched from analogue to digital TV this month - September 2011.

The first campground the two RV Gypsies stayed at was Scotia Pine Campground. During this time the two RV Gypsies went to Peggy's Cove, Swissair Flight III Memorial, and Fishermen's Monument. Those photos can be found in the sub-menu at the bottom of this page.

When the two RV Gypsies checked into Hyclass Ocean Campground, they were told that they had an ocean view site. The photo below on the right shows their ocean view - in reality, it was more of an ocean glance. And later when more RVs arrived, they parked their trucks and cars right in front of the two RV Gypsies ocean glance and then tenters came and there was no view of the ocean at all. The sites were really not big enough to hold an RV and a car.

The two RV Gypsies walked down to the ocean and took a picture. Then they hopped in their truck and drove to Peggy's Cove. In the evenings the two RV Gypsies took some sunset photos.
