The
Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers, |
NOTE: Karen and Lee Duquette (aka - The Two RV Gypsies) have attended the Fort Lauderdale Boat Parade several years, beginning when they lived in Broward County full-time. But perhaps the best photos taken were in 2017, so they are the ones shown below. Besides, most photos from before they became the two RV Gypsies have been lost long before this website was made. Many of the same boats participate each year. |
The Fort Lauderdale boat parade had boats of all sizes, including some paddle boards, all decorated with lights and other fun things. Boat Parades can be found in many different cities throughout Florida. The Fort Lauderdale Boat Parade staged on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, along the docks west of Stranahan House to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Parade traveled east to the Intracoastal Waterway and continued north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. It is 12 Miles of the “Greatest Show on H20.” The parade lasted approximately 2 hours.Private boats to the giant showboats and corporate mega yachts were adorned with hundreds of thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, musical groups, beauty queens and many other exciting entries. |

The first boat always has fireworks |
|
The last boat always has Santa Claus. The Jungle Queen was once again “The Santa Boat” for this year’s Boat Parade, but Karen Duquette did not get a good photo of The Jungle Queen or Santa, but she has a great Florida clipart that says it all. |
