The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers
at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA
7370 Russell Road
Concrete, Washington
July 3 - 5, 2015

These comments are just the experience of the two RV Gypsies and do not make the campground good or bad in general. For reservations phone: -'360.826.3554 or '888.562.4236

On this date, check in time was 2 p.m. Check out time was 11 a.m. Late check-outs may be charged. Wi-Fi only available within 50 feet of the Family Center. Cable TV only available at the Family Center. TV did not work at sites without satellite.

The roads were gravel. sites were dirt and grass (if you are lucky). The site the two RV Gypsies got was very tight and close to the neighbor. Sites were slanted and that helped.

Laundry was open 24 hours on this date. Propane was available outside the park at Grandy Creek Grocery - mention KOA and they may give you a discount. Pool and spa hours were 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in season. Adult swim 3 - 4 p.m. (that time should be later at night, in the opinion of the two RV Gypsies.) No one under 18 allowed in the hot tub.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. (Yet the two RV Gypsies observed the campers across the street with at least 6 young children who were probably ages 5 - 8 and rode their bikes by themselves and ran all over the campground alone).

Other standard camping rules observed regarding bikes, pets, quiet time, drugs, alcohol, trees, no vehicle washing, no clotheslines etc. (But again, these were not enforced while the two RV Gypsies were here). The campground was staffed 24/7. The jump pillow, mini golf, and ice cream social cost extra and require the purchase of a wrist bracelet. The ice cream social here was $2.50 on this date. It was only $1 at the last KOA. This was a holiday week-end so the place was crowded. The two RV Gypsies stayed out of the campground as much as possible.

Below: The site of the two RV Gypsies. Before the next door campers moved in it seemed like a nice spot, and then the two RV Gypsies realized what a small spot they had.

As seen above, both sides of the RV had a tree. Some of the bins couldn't even be opened because of the trees.

unhappy faceWhile the two RV Gypsies were moving into their site, Karen Duquette had to pick up paper napkins that had blown off their next door campers picnic table. Below is one view of the next door camper's CRACK as he sat outside. Other times, the two RV Gypsies had to look at his extremely fat and large "beer belly". This was not a pleasant view for the two RV Gypsies as they sat in their RV. They left the day before the two RV Gypsies, and they left more trash in their site. This is why The Two RV Gypsies do not like to be called "campers". They are full-time RVers. (But they have met a lot of nice, neat campers too, so no offense is meant to anyone).

The piggy neighbors had a very large site for a small camper, while the two RV Gypsies had a very tight site for a big RV.
