The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers
|
|
When the two RV Gypsies arrived at the Tallahassee East / Monticello KOA and checked in at the office, they found the lady at the check-in desk to be very nice. Then her husband came out of the lounge / game room and offered the two RV Gypsies a free slice of pie. They also stated that there was free waffles in the morning, which the two RV Gypsies really enjoyed. The campground was quiet. Most of the RVs there seem to be stationed there without their owners. TV was via antenna, but was adequate. Some sites were grass, and some sites were dirt. The site the two RV Gypsies occupied was long enough to house their 40-foot RV and their long toad. The roads were dirt roads. The grass looked as if it has not been mowed for quite some time. WI-FI was only in the lounge and laundry room, not at sites. Some sites had picnic tables, but the site that the two RV Gypsies were on did not have a picnic table. Luckily, the two RV Gypsies do not generally use the picnic table at campgrounds. The pool looked like it was adequate, but not very big. There was No hot tub. On this date, pool hours were 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. That is a proper closing time, and later than most KOA's offer. And even though it was hot weather, the two RV Gypsies did not use the pool because they spent their time at Wakulla Springs State Park. The water pressure was very low and not adequate and it was difficult to wash and rinse Karen Duquette's long hair in the shower. Most standard KOA rules applied. But all-in-all, the two RV Gypsies were content with this campground, and would return again if ever they head this way again. |
