Note: Comments made here do not make the campground good or bad in general. They are just the personal observations of the two RV Gypsies on a certain date, and everything is always subject to change. For reservations, phone: 850.537.2267.

River's Edge Campground was a small campground located just east of Pensacola, Florida. All of their 50 amp sites were taken when the two RV Gypsies arrived, so they had to have a 30 amp site. It appeared that a lot of stationary RVs were in the 50 amp sites. Their was no campground security gate. The roads were sand. Military discounts honored, but it was a very small amount. (Both Lee and Karen Duquette are military Veterans)

unhappy face The campground offered free Wi-Fi but the two RV Gypsies found it too slow to use and it only gave 15 minutes in a 24-hour period anyway. More internet time could be purchased. No cable TV, and NO TV stations came in via antenna either. On this date, extra guests were charged $1 to visit, $2 if they stay overnight. There was a fee to wash cars or RVs, $5 on this date.

Most standard campground rules applied. There was not much to do in the campground except fish or launch your boat. Boat launch area was free to campers but not to guests, which makes sense. The two RV Gypsies did not spend much time in the campground, they were mostly out in their toad in Pensacola. Check-out time on this date was 11 a.m.
