COMMENTS & PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS OF THE TWO RV GYPSIES. These comments do not make the campground / restaurant good or bad in general.

WARNING: IMPORTANT Do NOT let your GPS take you on this very long, narrow, nasty dirt road with ditches. The fact that there was NOT a campground sign at this turn should have told the two RV Gypsies something, but oh well -- things happen. Of course they did ask at the office for another way in and out of the campground, and they went the better way when leaving the campground. Call ahead and make sure you avoid this dirt road.

There was NOT enough room for two big RVs to pass each other. No shoulder, Notice the ditch beside part of the dirt road. Again, do NOT take this route.

This is a family owned campground, and each of the family members that the two RV Gypsies met were very pleasant to talk to. No TV. Wi-Fi only at the office. No pool or recreation room. Standard campground rules applied.

The campground map showed 41 sites on the far side of the pond (there was no site with the #13). The side where the two RV Gypsies parked had sites 50-86. (There was a site 66 and a site 66A.) Sites 43-49 were tent sites. The campground map also showed washrooms, showers, a non-modern washroom, laundry, small group pavilion, dump station, a very small playground, horseshoes, a sports field for frisbee golf, volleyball, badminton and basketball.
The only facilities the two RV Gypsies used was their own site which had full-hook-ups.

The campground was not full at this time, at least in the side of the park where the two RV Gypsies parked. Probably because there was no dinner show and dance this week-end. But there was another side to the campground on the other side of the pond that seemed full - maybe people that were parked there full-time.

The grass was very good grass, but there was a really big hole in the yard of the two RV Gypsies that they had to be careful not to step in.

The campground was big and had well-kept grounds. Below are views of two ponds, and some RVs on the other side of one of the ponds.

The barn dance building

The two RV Gypsies booked this campground because they hold a traditional western barn dance with a dinner show on Friday nights, and other weekend events. So the two RV Gypsies were totally disappointed to learn that they arrived on a Friday with NO show. There was supposed to be a big city function going on in town, but the two RV Gypsies were all over that town, and there was nothing special happening at all. The restaurant they ate in had a very small "special" menu for that night, though the "special" menu was not very special, in the opinion of the two RV Gypsies. The campground really should not have cancelled for such a measly reason. All shows are by reservation.

But anyway, one of the owners took the two RV Gypsies inside the barn for a private tour of the building and the two RV Gypsies were totally blown away by the splendor of it.

On the second level, the walls were full of old record albums and the two RV Gypsies just loved the giant wooden dance floor and stage. Karen Duquette really wanted to be there dancing. This campground holds lots of special events.
