August
5, 2011 - The two RV Gypsies drove their RV to Wawaloam Campground
in West Kingston, Rhode Island. The two RV Gypsies were not aware
that there was a 3 P.M. check-in time (which is later then most other campgrounds the
two RV Gypsies have stayed at) and so they arrived early and were charged
$5.00 for each hour they arrived before the 3 p.m. check-in time. Bummer.
Even though
they had a reservation, they were put in the very back of the park in a
grass area with only electricity. At the cost
of $42 a night, plus the $10 penalty charge, the two RV Gypsies really wanted
more than electricity in an out-of-the way spot at the very back of the
park. The park had really narrow roads. Cars had to back up or pull into
someone's space if they met an RV coming in. The speed bumps were really
close together and really big.
The campground had a big pool and a separate
water slide, but the water slide costs extra. Although this is a campground
that has been in business for 42 years, the two RV Gypsies will not return.
However, it did seem to cater to families with children. |
