The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers

These comments are just the experience of the two RV Gypsies and do not make the campground good or bad in general.

unhappy faceSince the two RV Gypsies did not have cell phone service while at the International Peace Garden, they did NOT call ahead for a reservation. Lee Duquette picked Northern Lakeview Campground because it was on a lake. But suddenly the GPS took them on dirt roads. The dirt roads went on-and-on for seven miles and Karen Duquette was already not liking this place. Then they got a look at the campground from a distance and it looked very full. Upon arrival, there was a building with a welcome sign, but nothing that looked like an office. Plus all the sites were taken, and the RVs appeared to be parked there full-time, not travelers. They did not see people anyplace. So Karen Duquette pulled out the North Dakota travel book and called the campground at Larimore Dam, about an hours drive away, and got a reservation.

unhappy face

So the two RV Gypsies drove another seven miles on those nasty dirt roads. When they got to the next campground, both Karen and Lee Duquette had to dust the entire inside of the RV, wipe down the cabinets, and wash the floors. The dust from those dirt roads had definitely gotten inside the RV during this trip.
