Golden Isles RV Park sign the RV of the two RV Gypsies

October 21-22, 2014 - This park honored the Passport America discount. It was a nice enough park, not far from Jekyll Island, St. Simon Island, the city of Brunswick, and Fort Frederica. It had unsecured Wi-Fi that was usually pretty slow. To get TV stations, the two RV Gypsies had to put down a $40 deposit for a box that had to be hooked up to their TV. The $40 was refundable. Too much work!!!!

Only one TRAIN was heard in the evenings, both times around 11 p.m., with its loud horn blowing of course. There were some paved roads for RVs in the front of the park, but the two RV Gypsies were assigned a site off of a dirt road, and the RV was parked in nice grass. Some parts of the dirt roads in the campground had big potholes filled with water from recent rains. Campfires were allowed on tent sites ONLY.  The pool still had water in it, but closed at 7 p.m. - that is early, but the two RV Gypsies did NOT want to use the pool anyway.

The office contained a restaurant, that apparently does a great business during their buffet lunch and light breakfast times. The two RV Gypsies did not eat there. Check-out was 11 a.m. and there could be a late fee.
