SPECIAL COMMENTS and PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS
OF THE TWO RV GYPSIES

This park had 30 amp power sites, water, sewers, pull-throughs, tent sites, showers included with stay, laundry, sani-station, pay phone, fire pits, cabins, daily and weekly rates. The only thing the two RV Gypsies used was their site.

There is a view of the glacier from the front of the park, depending on whether the trees or other RVs block the view or not. The best photos of the glacier should be taken from the entry of the park. A zoom lens is helpful.

sad faceThe two RV Gypsies asked for a site other than the one they were assigned and were told it was taken. The site they asked for was empty at the time of the two RV Gypsies' arrival, but a guest with a small RV came in later that night for ONE night only. The other TWO nights the two RV Gypsies were here, that site was empty. Since the two RV Gypsies were here first and were staying longer, they could have been accommodated. But the office had already printed out paperwork for both sites and must have been too lazy to make the changes on paper.

The campground Wi-Fi was coded for one device only. Additional vouchers cost $3 each. Sometimes the Wi-Fi worked fast, sometimes very slowly, and sometimes not at all. Everyone had to sign in with user name and password each and every time they turned the Wi-Fi on. TV sucked. Only a few worthless stations came in. The water pressure was very low. The park is right by the road, so of course there was road noise, but it was not a real busy street so it wasn't too bad.

Most campground rules applied, but this is a privately owned campground and management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will evict without notice or refund. Management is not responsible for accidents, injuries or loss or damage of any kind. No washing of vehicles. Site cost at this time was $32 a night plus a tax of some sort. Check out time was 11 a.m. Late check-out fee is $5 an hour.

There are several other RV parks in the area. When the two RV Gypsies returned through through this area, they stayed at Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV Campground in the neighboring city of Telkwa and loved it. They definitely recommend Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV instead of Glacier View RV Park.

Below: Views alongside of the RV Gypsies' RV after another RV left. When the two RV Gypsies first arrived, a small RV was parked sideways by that yellow wire. Looking out of the two RV Gypsies' dining room window, all they saw was the back of that RV, the yellow wire, and the side of the shed. It was nicer without that RV there, of course.

Later, another RV was put there and spoiled the view, not that it was a great view to begin with anyway. And there are so many empty spots in the park that were not right next to another RV. Don't know why office people don't space them out better, at least until they have to put them closer together. I know they decide by size, but other than that, the reasoning is unknown. It happens all the time.

Below:Different views of Hudson Bay Glacier, mostly taken while standing at the entry way to the park. All three days that the two RV Gypsies were here, it sprinkled rain on and off, and was cloudy and cold.

The waterfall seen in these photos is actually one of the Twin Falls, which the two RV Gypsies hiked to later. At this time, the other fall was much smaller and did not show up from this far away. Both waterfalls might be the same size at some point in time, depending upon how much snow is melting down the mountainside. The trail to see Twin Falls is just a short car ride from the park and the two RV Gypsies did go there. One photo of the waterfall is posted below that was taken when the two RV Gypsies hiked there. To see more of that hike to Twin Falls, use the TOC button above and then choose waterfalls, or just continue through the links at the bottom of this page.
